The Lions Club in Dorris, California hosts the annual Butte Valley Summer Shootout Rodeo Series every year. This is mostly for the youth but they also host several open events. Barrel racing, pole bending, bull riding, junior bull riding, steer riding, mutton busting, team roping, breakaway roping, flag ceremony, saddle bronc & bareback riding for peewee, junior, & senior divisions.
